"The World of Hammer Glamour" is dedicated to the lovely ladies that made watching the old Hammer horror movies such a pleasure and played havoc with many an adolescent boy's feelings in the meantime. Eventually I intend to provide info on some 80+ actresses and their movies. I am not even anywhere close to my final aim, so please be patient and come back on a regular basis to look at the updates.
What always fascinated me about the ladies of the Hammer horror films was that they weren't just your usual gang of Scream Queens: They were quintessential examples of the Swinging 60s and 70s. Most of them were not just involved in Hammer movies, but also featured in other popular series of the time. A lot of them were also James Bond girls or appeared in Carry On movies, not to mention starring in TV series such as The Avengers or The Saint and a whole bunch of other genre or horror movies. So being a fan of British cinema nearly by default made me an admirer of Hammer Glamour. Little wonder so that these actresses can still command some nostalgic popularity and are still very welcome guests at numerous film conventions in the UK and abroad.

This was long overdue and lists all the Hammer movies made as well as their availability on Region 0, 1 and 2. These are the standard English language releases, though one of these days I will need to add the likes of the German Anolis productions or more obscure stuff like the Spanish DVD release of Vampire Circus.
Also long overdue: Recommendations about the Hammer books in my collection.
